Holiday Suites Port Barton

We stayed for 4 nights. Comfortable hotel directly on the beach. Free sunbeds on the beach and the option to rent a kayak for free are very comvenient.

When we checked-in there was a smell of mold coming from the bathroom. There was also some visible mold in the shower. After we told the staff, they were super friendly and offered us another room. Unfortunately, the other room had the same issue. Therefore we stayed in the first room. The rooms (and especially the bathrooms) need to be renovated soon, if high qualitd wants to be maintained.

Breakfast was good! The best breakfast we had compared to other hotels in palawan where we stayed at. Hotel and our room were clean and nice, the beds were comfortable. Staff was really friendful and always ready to help! I really liked the hotel and would absolutely stay there again!

The roosters nearby were quite loud throughout the night, but I managed with earplugs.:)

We had issues with our room where it smelled like gasoline or something of that nature it was super strong almost to the point where it was burning our nose. We notified staff and they gave us a glade freshener. But refused to accept there was a strong smell, we spoke to guests next door and the door after that and they also said the smell was very strong in our room but not in theirs. They have a lot of workers on which is great however it seemed a bit professional that they all say on the stairs and around the reception areas. Which was intimidating to my wife. There balcony area is nice but we found it hard to sit out as it was covered in ants. I don’t like to give bad reviews, I don’t feel this is a harsh review to off put people. This place is for sure one of the nicer hotels / rooms to rent in the area for sure. There could just be a slight bit more professionalism and some constructive feedback to be listened to from guests.

The hotel is located on the beach. With a beautiful vieuw. Good breakfast Very friendly staff. Everyday we drink a couple of beers at the bar by Gary a friendly guy with everyday a big smile on his face and have a nice talk about everything.

The toilets were a bit smelly, they gave us some spray but it didn't really help

Location is great. Staff are fantastic and always happy and cheerful. Walking distance to everything.
