Riviera Hotel Hartenbos

The view

This rates as my worst accommodation experience ever. There was no Wi-Fi available in the room and no heater provided, despite the cold winter conditions. When I enquired, I was informed that heaters are not supplied. The condition of the room was also disappointing: The kettle was rusty on the inside, presenting a potential health risk. There was mould in the bathroom basin. The bathroom door handle was missing. The kitchen floor was stained and appeared unclean. Considering the condition of the accommodation and the lack of basic amenities, I found it to be significantly overpriced. To add to the frustration, I vacated the premises early and was given written assurance that I would receive a refund, albeit a minimal amount. To date, no refund has been paid. I also found the owner/CEO to be abrupt and unaccommodating when attempting to address these concerns.

Beautiful and perfect from when you enter until you leave. Amazing staff and excellent service all round. Definitely a 10/10!!

Having to leave so soon!

Awesome location, huge unit, comfy beds and fluffy towels. All the amenities of home. Staff that service the unit as well as restaurant staff very friendly. Family room & Apartment

Some areas could do with a deep clean, viz the bathrooms and in corners. Under the beds as well, blonde hairs everywhere, and not one of us is blonde!

The pool area looked really nice

the facility was not clean. We had lots of miggies in the flatlet. Shower needs attention Kitchen was dirty

Restaurant and staff substandard

The area at the swimming pool very nice. The staff were very friendly.

Breakfast could improve, not very tasty or presentable. Coffee not good quality, the toilets in the reception area were smelling everyday. The hotel need some renovations.
