Hotel A Esteva

We stayed here for nearly a week as a base for a birdwatching trip in the area and it was ideal. The building is very stylish with the reception area and poolside both comfortable areas to relax with a cup of tea. The rooms are large and comfortable and the standard of cleaning is remarkable, as good as in any hotel we've ever stayed in. All the staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. We had a slight problem with the plug in the shower and this was solved immediately with no fuss. Recommended to anybody

This hotel is very functional and basic although very clean and comfortable. There is a breakfast room although no restaurant for evening meals and no gym. The pool is well kept and clean. The breakfast is consistent and the rooms are adequate.

After a few days in basic hostels is this accomodations a strongly recommandation. The hotel is very clean, modern, confortable and quite. The swimmingpool is very welcome in the temperature of more than 35 degrees. We enjoyed the hotel very well!

This modern, small hotel has bright, attractive public areas overlooking well maintained gardens and pools. Our bedroom on the top floor was clean, comfortable and had a small furnished balcony which overlooked a side road and the surrounding countryside. Rooms with even numbers face the road and odd numbers the garden and pool area? The peaceful breakfast room opened onto the the terracing surrounding the pool and the breakfast itself was simple but adequate with hot and cold options. All the staff were excellent and the whole place spotless. Very good value for money and convenient for access to the village.

The stay is very comfortable, and the hotel is wonderfully close to the centre of town. Easy walk to restaurants and bars. Breakfast is simple, but filling; however the internet can be a little hit or miss. The rooms are always very clean, and this also includes the swimming pool and other amenities.

Think I did this via Booking.com....anyway it was around £45 for the night with a very nice breakfast too. The place was clean, excellent air-con, free Wifi and a comfy very clean room. What's not to like! Very tempting pool round the back. Well worth it.

We had flown into Faro in the late afternoon and picked up a hire car for a trip to Porto. We wanted to get away from the coast and then have an overnight stop before the main drive. This hotel is situated a couple of miles from the main motorway going north from the Algave and was ideal. It is in the centre of Castro Verde which was very quiet. The hotel did not serve evening meals but was a few minutes walk from the centre of town where we found a delightful restaurant called Castro's which was reasonable and served typical Portuguese food. The hotel room was air conditioned, clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. The breakfast was a fairly limited buffet but adequate for our needs. There was a swimming pool but we did not sample it. The staff were friendly and spoken some English.

Excellent Hotel,very good room with minibar,very good breakfast and nice breakfast room,very clean,friendly owners and staff. The hotel is a short walking distance to all amenities,like restaurants,cafes.etc. The swimingpool looks nice but i never tried. In all i can recomend this small hotel.Well done!

Small hotel, modern and confortable decoration, very good location within walking distance to restaurants and village centre. Very clean, nice pool, good breakfast. Very good value for a 3 star. Staff are very friendly with lots of information to share about the area.
