Villa de Roshe

We liked the look of the villa and the view (our room opened up to a waterfall). The bedroom was comfortable with a massive bathroom and hot water was very easy to access. The breakfast was really good and beautifully presented.

Payment needed to be cash, thank goodness I had the cash on hand. It would be good to notify our have credit card or bank transfer facilities.

Good cozy place to stay. They only have 3 rooms so good service to all their guests. Its like a homestay. The staff was good & took care of everything. Breakfast was a 5/10 tbh, but at this price I think its okay.

- Minor maintenance required - The bed made crackling sound

The accomodation was really beautiful, the location was not so close to center but with tuc-tuc there is no problem to move around. The owner suggested a really cool place for dinner which was the best dining experience in Sri Lanka we had.

Chaminda was very kind, helpful and an excellent cook

Staff was very polite! Cleanliness was ok. Rooms/Hotel is a bit taired and need more maintenance.

It was really cold and there was no way to warm the room. There was not even a blanket.

I definitely liked the view from there and the staff was really nice and helpful.

To be 100% honest we based our decision to go to this place based on reviews. But when we reached we realized the following : 1: The access to the hotel was difficult (our driver didn’t agree to go there due to the hill and the road conditions) 2: Walls and windows were really thin and due to the wind, we were able to hear many noises making it difficult to sleep. 3: the night we were there got cold and when we asked for a heater, we’ve been told that there was one but for an extra cost (despite this the tenant nicely offered extra blankets) but yet it was still really cold.

The sitting & Dinning areas were nice & comfortable. It was raining so I couldn’t say much about out door area. The staff was very helpful with all your needs.

The bedroom need updating. The roads to the location are very narrow, you can’t get a car to front of property.

Arrived in the evening and they had cancelled my reservation.
