We are new to international hotels, so the older buildings were a first for us

We were walking the Great Glen Way so just looking for somewhere to get our heads down for the night before starting the walk. Room was small and basic but appeared recently decorated/updated and it was clean and tidy with a decent bathroom. Although cheap compared with other accommodation in Fort William, it was overpriced compared to the other b&b’s on the walk. They were similarly priced but far nicer, more spacious and breakfast was included. I suppose that’s the joys of supply and demand due to Fort William being such a popular destination nowadays. Could hear other guests in the corridor early evening, and morning but I assume most people there were going to have early starts so I can’t say that I noticed any noise much after 10pm and it didn’t disturb my sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nowhere in Fort William is far away so plenty of amenities nearby. If you’re looking for a bit of luxury then give this one a miss, but if your just after somewhere to get a hot shower and some sleep at a reasonable price compared to everywhere roundabout then go for it.

We were surprised to find that the “private bathroom” was located across the hall. However, it was spacious and nice.

Friendly welcome and a beautiful room with incredible views. Excellent breakfast.
