Toucan Lane

Great location in a tropical setting. The pool was lovely and each time we had it to ourselves. The hosts (and the cute dogs) were friendly and welcoming. It was a great place for us to reset and plan the next part of our trip.

Toucan Lane is the perfect spot for those looking for a boutique relaxed stay. Location is great between Arenal and Fortuna making day trips to activities and attractions easy. Joanne and Simon are lovely hosts giving us information, coordinating activities, and just plain fun to enjoy conversation with in the evening while sitting on the edge of the jungle enjoying its sights and sounds. They provided everything and anything we needed and we couldn’t have had a better stay.

Our stay was just before the opening of the season so we were early for the restaurant and bar opening. There were a couple of restaurants next door and they opened the bar for us the last couple of nights.

Simon and Johanne are great host. The location was incredible!

loved the location. The restaurant was closed for remodeling but there were two other delicious restaurants next to our hotels.

Beautiful location and the most congenial hosts

Everything was great!

Great Location near Lake Arenal. Joanne and Simon are the perfect hosts; during our stay they were always helpful and found answers to any question. We became friends! They proposed best-fit daytrips that fit best with our interest: a cozy Hot Springs Spa resort, a Hanging Bridge tour and a horse back ride. Ahead phone calls were offered to secure availability. The house restaurant was temporarily closed as the cook had just left. Manuel, owner of a small restaurant next door (25m) offered excellent local food and hosted us every night. Best comes last: the home-made breakfast with fruit of the season, fresh juices and home made bread and cake! WOW!!!

Even the rain that came twice a day couldn't affect us.

The room was amazing with a massive bed and really nice open shower, with the doors to the room opening right out to the pool area. Joanne and Simon were lovely and invited us to join them for a beer when we arrived. They have lots of lovely friendly dogs, and the staff at the restaurant next door were really nice and welcoming also!

We only booked one night but would’ve loved to have spent longer there in hindsight!
