Traditional style building and stairs. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern well fitted bathroom with plenty of hot water.

In contrast to the modern bathroom, the interior decoration was very tired. Worn carpets and marked wall paint. And the bed was very soft - not great for my back. Given the contrast with the bathroom and the works on what appears to be a back bar I'm hoping there is a rolling complete refurbishment happening. If so I would be happy to stay in the future.

Location

Impossible to sleep. Room window slamming all night other hall doors slamming loudly along the corridor at all hours. 3/4/5 am. It's very basic and needs work. all that can be ignored as it was clean and reasonably priced, but it was impossible to sleep. If it wasn't the window it was everything else around. So if one cannot sleep at all, then it's just no good.

Dinning area and bar area was good

Bed room needed a good clean and decorating and ceiling needed sorting , carpet in room was ok , stairwells and corridors needed good clean as lots of stains on them,also the fire alarm button on wall was not working and told to go to next one ,also in our room there was no heating ,complained room was cold so they sent up an electric heater , in my daughters room the patt test on hairdryer was last done on 2013 which is against the law ,we have stayed several times at the hind previous and have been happy with stay

Great locations and very big place

Spiders everywhere and not very clean, fire alarm broken, hair dryer not pap tested recently, needs some money spending on it to bring it back up to good standards, pillows was hard and bed not very soft at all.

Breakfast was ok. Vegan sausages poor, only white bread, given dairy butter even though I stated I am vegan.

Breakfast was poor. It was cold in the room, I had to request a radiator. Staff were very helpful.

Beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

The car park is very small and full of vans.I did end up spending 10 minutes driving around trying to find somewhere else to park. A few minor issues with the room such as skirting boards in need of repair.

Was mostly what I expected. Staff very friendly and helpful.

It's very noisy, creaking floor boards, lots of slamming doors in the night and the fire alarm went off three times between around 10pm and 1.30am which really worried my son. Following this there was very loud music outside which then kept me awake. A generator of some sort then turned on in the morning just outside the room which woke me. This was around 7am but I would have slept longer due to be woken by the fire alarm. When we asked about the fire alarms in the morning the receptionist said it's because of the heaters in the room collecting dust and then causing them to go off. Sounded like a regular occurrence.
