"If you want to stay in the South of the Island there is no better place to stay."

The location of this property is excellent, both in terms of being 12 mins drive to the airport but more importantly fantastic views over Gansey bay, with a lovely walk to Port St Mary. As we were there 5 days we booked room 1 which is more like a suite being a large room with a sofa and a chair, very comfortable. It also has a wood burner which looked like it would be very cosy in the winter. The bar and restaurant were always busy and buzzing and the food was good and plentiful with very large portions. The nicest thing about the venue were the staff who to a person were very chatty and friendly. Will be back. One point of information which is nothing to do with the hotel but info for fellow travellers is getting a taxi in the South of the island is a nightmare so car hire might be a good idea, or the bus does stop right outside the hotel.

The only gripe was the TV which was quite old so not a Smart TV and the signal occasionally fell out, but usually returned with a couple of seconds. Nothing else not to like.

Our ancestors used to own this hotel, so we were keen to see it for ourselves. Not disappointed - gorgeous location next to a dramatic rocky shore. Very comfortable room overlooking the beach; a convivial woody bar; good food/beer and very pleasant and helpful staff. Top notch and very proud to finally see the place !!

TV didn’t have USB input to support a data drive.

we stayed at the boathouse and it was amazing. Fantastic facilities, and the staff at the Shore Hotel could not have been more helpful. We also dined in the restaurant and the menu and food was excellent, Thanks for a great stay
