Inovecká Chata

Inovec cottage is a fully renovated set of rustic cabins deep and high in the hills near Trenčín. Quite a popular spot because of its location and plenty of activities (biking, hiking, collecting mushrooms, etc.) in the area. This resort is accessible through 7 kilometres of mildly ascending road in quite a bad condition. With that said, you will not need anything special to drive on it, just take into account you will have to go slower - I made it on a road motorbike during heavy rain with no issues at all. Despite some issues and higher prices for food and drinks, the accommodation, service, restaurant, location and especially interior decors are all great and it was definitely worth the visit.

On my arrival, I ran into two issues straight away - First off, they only accept cash, which was a problem, because I just crossed the country border from Czechia and had no time to go looking for ATMs in the distant cities as it was getting dark and dangerous to keep riding. I was also hungry and thirsty. It got resolved by a complicated SEPA wire transfer the next day, but I just don't understand why a place like this does not accept cards (and yes, there is a signal). Secondly, I got a room with twin beds, even after I sent them a message we were coming as a couple. Yes, the reservation said "double-bed OR twin bed" in the description, but the image clearly showed a double-bed and who the hell wants to get assigned one or the other by random? Just create two separate categories for the same price and let the guests choose, stop complicating things.

We came here to stay during a local music festival. The location was great not too far from the city of Trencin yet still far enough to be in a quiet and cool area in the woods. Even when we had issues coming back from the city due to weather the staff were always on call and willing to help.

The whole place it's absolutely stunning, love how rural it is, authentic Slovak place. Staff was so lovely, helpful and nice. Food was excellent, delicious, tasty, quality products, best pork ribs ever. Accommodation itself was comfortable, clean, quiet, it had everything that we need it and more.

Nothing to say

We have already been to this hotel 2 times - we really like it very much. We especially like their cuisine (game goulash, garlic soup, for instance). The location is very nice - in the mountains, but still close to the town of Trenčín with its famous Roman inscription dating back to 179 AD. We tried hotel sauna for the first time and were really impressed - it is modern and clean. Free parking in front of the hotel; charging of USB devices possible (as there are no mains sockets in rooms). Be prepared there is very poor LTE/cell phone signal coverage - but we consider this a plus (when you want to relax on your vacation).

A bit higher price of breakfast than advertised (as the price advertised does NOT include drinks/tea/coffee). Also, sauna could better be charged on per person basis instead of being "private" (you have to rent the whole sauna even if you are a small group or pair/individual - we would prefer a "shared" sauna). But all this were only minor issues, we really loved our stay.

Beautiful place located in forest and surrounded by mountains. In Inovecka Chata, you can connect with nature again! Excellent level of service and kindness of the hosts is a reason to come back :) Hope to be there soon!

Wonderful oasis in the middle of lovely woods, charming room all made of wood too and very qualitative bathroom, with a view to the majestic furtrees. Extremely welcoming, very dynamic, helpful and most kind Team. Delicious traditional dishes, prepared and served with love....thank you so much, dear Ivan and all your friendly staff for these memorable summer days at your place!

Quiet, peaceful location in the middle of the forest. Spotless clean cottage, with delicious food, and very friendly staff. I would visit again.
