Very good location, very friendly staff, good breakfast. Excellent sport facilities.

Noisy sleeping: we had a room just beside a staff utility room and we were woken up at 5 am by the heavy doors closing and opening as they started their shift. Heavy snoring in another room and windows that were paper thin contributed to very light sleeping. There is no air conditioning so it's a little stuffy in the rooms.

Good location, good value for money, parking (at a fair rate), nice breakfast and friendly staff. I also liked how the money from the booking goes back to the YMCA to fund their programs such as their Alternative Provision 👏👏👏

The main attraction was the location as we were attending a wedding nearby.

We paid £20 to check in at 12noon. This was arranged the previous Monday for the Friday. We called the day before to double check and were told it's all ok. We arrived at 11:30am, and fair enough the room wasn't ready. But we didn't end up getting into the room until about 12:25pm. Only 25 mins, but as we had to leave to get to the wedding at 1pm it created a huge amount of stress. The person on the counter seemed not interested in arguing that it wasn't guaranteed than helping us get into the room. Why charge us £20 and tell us twice that 12noon is ok if it's not a firm arrangement? The room is poor with hard beds, dirty towels and broken windows. The bathroom doesn't have a light that you can turn on and off instead it's an automatic light that goes pitch dark when you are part way through a shower. They have a notice strongly suggesting that you keep showers short, probably why they set the timer short too. The room cost us £272 Inc parking so for that, you would t expect to not be able to control your own bathroom light. The breakfast was very poor with dry and food and inedible eggs. My daughter had a poorly tummy afterwards. For this money we expect more. We would suggest that you find another place and this one is poor.
