Hotel Darchi Kazbegi

Breakfast was good and plentiful. Gluten free was difficult. Some rooms have a better mountain view than others.

Breakfast could have been earlier. Credit card not working on our visit so cash only which was annoying.

Darchi is a newly built hotel on the south side of Stepansminda. We had one of the large rooms with mountain view towards the southern slopes of Mt Kuro (not Mt.Kazbegi if that matters to you). The room was clean and light and had basic amenities like a water cooker. Breakfast was served to the table in a spacious restaurant downstairs and had decent variability (we stayed there for a whole week!) The staff try their best with English although you'd be better off speaking Georgian or Russian.

Small things irritated us slightly like not being able to fully close the curtains due to a large balk in the ceiling and reading lights being positioned too far from the bed to be of use for reading. The shower had variable pressure and really hot water. There were few other quests so I can't comment on the sound proofing.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at Hotel Darchi. The owner and staff were so lovely and kind, the room was clean, had nice amenities, and had beautiful views of the mountains. The homemade breakfast was delicious and the portions very generous! We loved everything about our stay and would love to stay here again.

The room was great. Large and comfortable. There was a table and a sofa in our room. What a view!!! We could also make tea/coffee in our room. We knew that this would be a bit of a “splurge”, but it was worth it. We originally booked for 2 nights, but stayed 3. This hotel has only been open for about a year, so it is establishing its reputation. The breakfast was very good - more food than we could eat. The ladies in the restaurant were really friendly, and helpful, despite our inability to communicate well because of language differences.

poor sound insulation between rooms and no air conditioning (we were in summer, but I understand maybe it’s not necessary during cold periods)

Really great room, big, nice bed, clean bathroom and great personel. The breakfast was great and dinner was also great. Really nice!

Location is a bit further away from the center, altough you cannot really call the center a city center so it was okay. The price was the highest we paid in all of georgia.

No elevator (We have a room on 2nd floor). No card payment. No cleaning service during your stay.
