Location and ambiance at 1st

There was a completely unruly number of guests that were loudly partying/fighting/arguing until 4 am. My 8yr old daughter and I were not able to sleep a wink which left an extremely poor taste in our mouths. I called the front desk after an hour of the guests being unaware of their surroundings and was told security would handle it. I had to call back as nothing happened and the guests kept up their wildly loud ways. I called again and was told the same yet got the same result. I paid a premium to avoid such things and wish I hadn’t which was a very high let down as I was looking forward to enjoying our night on the amazing property and its high reviews. I don’t leave reviews much. I was contacted the next day and was left a message that the inn was going to cover my room service bill of $123 however having not being able to sleep and my daughter being subject to wild unruly parties put a massive damper on out long day of travel we had the next day.

Location and room

Noisy fan not checked and could not use for first night. Reported to Reception and fixed the following day. Safe did not work and was never repaired throughout our stay, despite reporting it to Reception. Toiletries not checked before our arrival: conditioner empty, no body wash, tissue box empty.

Spacious room (suite) and bathroom, clean, light and airy interior, cozy environment. Comfortable beds. The grounds are beautiful.

The bed was hard as a board. Not so good for comfort.

Room service breakfast was great. In room Kurig coffee is good but the powered coffee creamer was a miss

Provide 1/2 & 1/2 or coffee mate creamer rather than powder packets.

The grounds are stunning.

Our room was beautiful but a few things had us scratching our heads: The sinks were very slow draining. Only two bath towels. No towel hooks. No microwave and the world’s smallest refrigerator. Lastly, the bathroom door was huge (we had a spa suite), but opened up right in front of the free standing bathtub, which made it tricky and loud at night (door was like a barn style, heavy and loud). We did love the room overall, and we had a great balcony, with a great view.

A very very cute little quaint hotel. Went for work and it brightened my day staying here. Very helpful friendly staff too! My only con is that the water in our room would not get hot. It was lukewarm for all our showers and our phone didn't work. I probably could have told the front desk but I was limited on time with work. I'd stay there again because I think those issues could have been fixed.

This is by far our favorite local place to escape and relax. The property is beautiful, with clean rooms, free parking, and great food nearby. When we go we like to do nothing at all and just relax in the room and on the property. The staff are caring and do a great job as well. Stonehaus, on the same property, is an awesome place for a salad, pizza, beer, or glass of wine.
