Hotel Phillips

It helps to understand what you are booking. This is a renovated historic building that is an apartment complex with bed and breakfast mini apartments on the first floor which are the "hotel." The rooms are clean and cozy and the people are friendly. My only complaint wpuld be that the mattresses are very soft foam that you will sink into. Others complain of temperature, but I like to sleep cool, so haven't noticed any issues, but worth considering since it is an old building. There is a 'Speakeasy' in the basement with a great shuffle board. The hosts are responsive. I have stayed twice, once booking through their website and the other through Air BnB. Both times they were clear with self check-in and out steps. If you are looking for a full service e experience, go stay at the Hilton or Hampton in town. Hotel Phillips is a great stay at a great price.

The Hotel Phillips was easy to find. It's a beautiful building and appeared to be well maintained. It was clean and comfortable. We arrived on a Saturday so the check-in process was extremely smooth. All we had to do was follow the instructions provided, open the door, and begin our mini vacay! We absolutely loved our stay here. We didn't hear another soul while we were there, so either the hotel was vacant or the rooms are well insulated against outside noise. One more thing, the beds were so comfortable that once I laid down on it to try it, I didn't ever want to get up. It was perfect!

The property was very clean and in a great location. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

The air conditioning was not working in my room. And my room had a very strong cigarette smell. There isn’t anyone working at the front desk. You have to call and talk to someone over the phone.

ADA non compliance…behind in current requirements. Not given room booked 6 months earlier …reported that television was broken on first evening ….called requested repair never happened ……entrance ramp for Wheel chair a Joke …trashy .

The lobby, the room. Everything was great.

Nothing, everything meet my expectations.

The room was clean and it had everything you need including a refrigerator and coffee maker with pods. The towels were nice and the bathroom was fine. I was there in the weekend and there isn't an manager on duty. Instructions are left at the front desk. The outside door and room door are secured using a key pad. Overall I felt the hotel was safe and quiet.

The only thing I found a bit disappointing was the bed tended to sag in the middle and was a bit uncomfortable.
