Chirapa Manta Amazon Lodge

Außergewöhnlicher Ort mit unendlich viel Platz zum Sein. Schöne Aussennereiche mit gemütlichen Sofas, Arbeitsplätzen und privaten Stränden am Fluss. Die Unterkünfte liegen mitten im tropischen Wald, wohin man über eine Brücke und einen Pfad ca. 5 min hin läuft. Für Essen wird gesorgt, wenn man das möchte und es wurde ausserdem Yoga, Massagen und Wanderungen angeboten.

Un lugar muy hermoso con mucha paz, tenes acceso al arroyo muy sabroso para bañarte, rodeado de jungla, buena atmósfera, se nota que todo está pensado con cariño. Y bueno sin hablar que es al lado de san Roque, un pueblo divino. Muy recomendado si buscas paz! Excelente calidad- precio.

Over many years traveling through South America I have not found a place like this. A unique combination of pristine location right a the river with access for swimming, beautiful clean rooms, excellent vegetarian meals and a genuine ecological commitment paired with a know how of the owners of the area which is a great plus. Javier and Claudia not only manage the property, they also lead a number of excellent and great value activities. I went on hikes and did several other experiences which were all outstanding. Highly recommend staying a Chirapa Manta either individually or part of a retreat.

The location was awesome, really an immersive experience. TRhe staff was very friendly and open to help. Activities are as advertised, as well as the facilities. All tours were exceptional and the guidance was top tier.

There could be non-vegetarian options for food

Amazing location right on the river in the jungle. Quiet place to relax. The staff were super attentive and helpful. Good breakfast options included in the price of the room. Beautifully designed lodge with thoughtful touches. You can access the river for a swim. Access to kitchen that's well stocked with utensils and a fridge for guests. Beautiful common areas. Although I didn't use any of the services, they offer massages, yoga classes, tours and more. Hot showers with good pressure. Comfy bed with mosquito net. This place is surrounded by amazing plants. I would definitely recommend staying here. I would love to come back for longer. Best place I stayed in my month travelling in northern Peru!

A little far from town if you want to go on day trips, you need to take a moto taxi for 30 soles from Tarapoto. As to be expected with remote locations, the internet and power were patchy in the thunderstorms I experienced there during the rainy season. Accessibility could be difficult for some as you need to walk down a mostly flat, well maintained trail for about 7 minutes to get to the lodge.
