Hotel Boutique Eden Costa

The room far exceeded my expectations and the price I was paying for it. This is a small hotel (taxi driver struggled to find it) about an 8 minute walk from Chahue Beach -- which is large, mostly empty, and a nice mix of crashing waves with quieter spots... lifeguards on duty. No shade though, and risk of strong currents. 15 min walk up to the main town and about the same to the marina, where the boat tours depart from. The whole town felt very safe and friendly. Not over developed though a lot of construction going on. The restaurant is here is excellent. The complimentary breakfast was nice but after a few days I wanted something more/different (and of course, you can always pay for that).

I consider myself an independent traveller but the downside to such a small hotel, travelling alone, there weren't any other native English speaking customers (everyone was Mexican), and my Spanish is virtually non existent. I was surprised the staff here also didn't speak any English really. So we resorted to google translate and I drifted to the neighbouring Villa Blanca hotel for dinner and a bit of conversation. The hotel could use better signage -- my airport taxi took 5 mins to find it even with google maps.

It looks like all the rooms have a pool view. The pool itself was not deep but the water was clean. The room had a ceiling and air conditioning, and both sheer and dark curtains. You can flush toilet paper here. The mattresses are on limestone stand so some might find it too firm but it was great for us.

The door to the bathroom is flimsy and doesn’t provide much privacy. There was a sewage smell from the pipes sometimes. They only provide one pool towel per room.

The shower was the best we had on our whole trip. Everything was very clean. Location was good.

The breakfast wasn't what we had expected. The presentation was 5 stars, but the amount was 3 stars.

Comfortable bed, clean room, nice swimming pool, near the big super market, friendly staff.

No safety box in the room, no kettle.

The breakfast was very good-fruit, bread slices with jam and whipped butter. Modest but just right for us. The coffee was very good. Pool area was very clean and well maintained.

The chairs on the balcony were in disrepair. The seats were falling in but we lived with it.

We loved the pool and everyone was very friendly. It was also very clean.

The attached restaurant was good but quite expensive.

The restaurant was superb! Amazing innovative Mexican cuisine of world quality for a low price.

I would 100% stay here again! We loved everything about this place especially the size and kindness of the staff!! Can’t wait to return some day!! This place is not in the town which I love so it’s quiet! Just a 70 peso round trip trip to town

Nothing I didn’t like!

The breakfast was excellent with great coffee. The location was great for walking to the beach and to the center of the town. The staff made arrangements for a taxi to the airport. I was even able to get my hair cut at a local barber about 1/2 block from the hotel. The pool was perfect for us.

the beds are hard as a rock, very uncomfortable. The rooms could use some update. definitely not a boutique hotel.
