Hotel Boutique Eden Costa

This is not a boutique hotel. The staff were great but we had numerous problems and stayed in 3 different rooms in the first 4 nights. Pool area ok but very small. Restaurant excellent, nice continental breakfast.

First room ( room 3) had faulty and dated AC. The maintenance guy who was the busiest member of staff in the hotel claimed to have fixed it but it wasn’t and we moved next door to room 2 overnight which wasn’t massively inconvenient but no apologies or compensation with a free drink or something would have been nice. Moved back to room 3 but AC still knackered and we were moved to room 7 which was one of the suites with a separate lounge, kitchen, fridge and cable TV. This room had a terrible ‘toilet smell’ which resulted in the room being completely stripped of curtains, bedding, towels etc and fitted with air fresheners. The staff done what they could and worked hard to rectify the issues which did improve. My stay got off to a very bad start when the Receptionist refused to accept that I’d already paid for the room via booking.com despite me showing her my confirmation which clearly stated I’d paid in full and also showing her my credit card account which shown the payment had been made.

quiet, nice pool and lounge chairs, friendly staff, good housekeeping, clean snd welcoming property with awesome murals,, very good restaurant, good wifi, decent breakfast included but other good menu options. Huge shopping centre a block away.

slight sewage smell in my room, could have been from neighbouring property.

The staff were very friendly, the pool was lovely and the restaurant very good. our room was simple but clean.

central location right next to a big supermarket. Within walking distance to Chahue Beach, only 5 min, 15 min walk to Santa Cruz and 15 min walk to Crucecita downtown

wifi was spotty at times at the room

I liked a lot about the hotel. First of all, the staff are wonderful - so cheerful, genuine, and helpful. They make you feel very comfortable and valued. Secondly, the restaurant experience is great. The continental breakfast that is included in the rate is delicious and ample, consisting of a lovely fruit plate, orange juice, yogurt, granola, and honey, with a nice bread basket, and coffee. The staff in the restaurant are fantastic and so is the music they play and the whole ambiance. The pool is clean and attractive, and there is also a jacuzzi, although it’s just the jets, no hot water. The room itself is comfortable enough, with a terrific shower. The beds are firm but comfortable. There is a nice wardrobe closet, a vanity, and a big safe.

When I first arrived at the hotel and saw the ugly unfinished building behind the pool, my heart sunk. I didn’t think I would be able to stay there because of this backdrop. But the friendliness of the staff won me over and I managed to put that aside and find ways to avoid looking at it. Also, I was disappointed in the chairs provided on the patio outside my room. They were hard, wooden office-type chairs. I asked for the white chairs that are shown in the photo, and they gladly supplied these. I didn’t spend much time sitting on the patio because of that ugly construction backdrop, however.
