Pedimos una cuna y no nos la pusieron; se pasaba mucho calor en las habitaciones y no había personal en el hotel al llegar para hacer el check-in (era todo digital y no lo sabíamos)

There was a bath tub. That is the only thing positive.

The hotel has absolutely no on-site staff at all. Check-in is completely self-service through email and phone links, which was stressful and confusing. There is no reception and no one to help with anything. The rooms have extremely thin walls, so you hear every sound from other guests (conversations, bathroom noises, movement). The floors are very bouncy and creak loudly with every step, which feels unsafe. Right outside there are loud bars, so expect shouting, singing and noise until well after midnight. Between the external noise and paper-thin walls, sleep was very difficult. The advertised breakfast partnership with the ice cream parlour/bakery across the street doesn’t work well. There is no voucher or way to identify yourself as a hotel guest, and it’s not free (€9). It was confusing and frustrating — I only managed to get a coffee and a muffin. Daily cleaning was done, but they stopped restocking properly: no replacement towels, paper cups were never replenished (only two given at the start), and I eventually ran out of toilet paper. The free Wi-Fi is very slow with questionable security — I recommend using a VPN. Most worrying was the entrance security. There is only one door with no camera or intercom. During my entire stay, strangers were regularly hanging around the entrance trying to get in. As a solo traveller this felt genuinely unsafe, especially at night. Overall, very poor value for the price. Almost zero facilities and support.

The room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. I also liked to have a fridge in the room. The location was practicable for me, as it was quite close to the highway.

I did not like (well, I hated) the very weird online check-in! To click on the picture of a door on my smartphone to open that door. This is too much of modernity, for my taste. And actually, I opened the door while being quite far away from it! Why? Here is why: The whole self-check-in made me quite nervous, because the bar at the door to the hotel was highly crowded; actually, the whole square was full of people. So, instead of trying to understand how to enter in front of the door, I sat down a bit away on a stone wall. There it was that I opened the door! Any bar-customer could have entered the door at that moment. The huge amount of people on the square, well in whole Arrasate, had another consequence and for sure it had a reason. The other consequence that I slept very badly, despite the comfy bed with very clean white linen. The whole night there was noise from people running around in the streets; drums that sounded like gun-shots; a huge commotion. What it was? I don't know. There where also huge puppets and one of the locals tried to explain; but his English and my Castellano were not good enough for communication. So, I never found out what disturbed me. Having said that, I assume that the location would be great and the hotel could be nice. (Anyway, I would have appreciated a human staff member! I rated the staff as very poor. But actually: There was no staff member: this is the reason I rated it this point poorly: no option to say "does not apply".

El armario no era adecuado

Hotel liegt quasi in einer Fussgängerzone. Parkhaus mit Parkplatz für max 10€/Tag 50m entfernt. Checkin in und Schlüsselübergabe lief vollkommen digital und problemlos. Zimmer war sauber, Bett bequem.

Haus ist sehr hellhörig, auch nach aussen. Da vorm Haus viele Bänke stehen, ist sehr viel Betrieb bis spät Nachts. Zimmer ist jetzt nicht sonderlich charmant. Schlafen ja, länger bleiben nicht.
