The natural surroundings away from any other development was a winning feature for me.

A ceiling fan inside the room would be good.

The location is so peaceful and really feels like you have escaped into real Fiji. Being on the river gives such great access to both the lake and the sea. Taking the kayak out and drifting with a beer were both such was such a highlights. Simon and Lily and all the salt lake lodge staff are so genuine and lovely. Some of the nicest people we came across on our travels who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We opted for the chef service and Lily cooked us some absolutely delicious meals. Kana vaka levu!

Beautiful lake. Yummy pancakes! Nice staff. Can do fishing and kayaking anytime. Very quiet at night. Friendly cat and dogs.

That's the best and warmest homestay we've ever experienced! The cyclone disturbed our plan and we had to postponed our check-in time. The owner and her stuffs were super patient to help with us. Lily and Simon took care of us so carefully. Thanks to Lily for perparing gluten free breakfast for me which were delicious hot cakes and pans. Also thanks them for bringing my daughter to fishing. They treated us like their family members! We enjoyed the three days to spend in this private, cozy lodge which connecting with a river directly. It's surrounded by nature and you can stay in the yard to watch the river flowing in front of your eyes or just soak your feet in it! We really enjoy drinking and chatting with the sound of fishes jumpping out of water. The place is not luxury but full of warm and privacy. Highly recommend and we'll choose it again when we come back to Savusavu.

We had an excellent time at Salt Lake Lodge! Our hosts we're so welcoming and made us feel at home. The breakfasts were amazing each morning, the animal friends were a comforting bonus, and the facility/environment exceeded my expectations. We were able to relax and soak in the environment on good days and stormy ones. Loved the freedom to take off on the kayaks where and when we wanted. Air-con in the room was a savior! I definitely recommend this place.

Tricky to source familair meal ingredients nearby, so plan ahead if you can. One shop within short walking distance - limited stuff, but lovely to have available. Recommend renting a car for at least some of the time if there for a week :)

Besondere Lage zwischen Salt Lake und Ozean! Man kann je nach Gezeiten direkt vom Haus weg zum See paddeln oder Richtung Ozean bis zur einer Insel mit besonders großen Flughunden! Lili und Simon haben uns bestens betreut und verwöhnt, halfen uns mit unserer Weiterreise mit Bus und Fähre nach Taveuni. Hunde und Katze waren immer zum Streicheln aufgelegt. Feine Kanus und SUPs stehen zur Verfügung. Der Dschungel und die Natur der Insel ist wunderschön! Man kann eine kurze Wanderung zu einem lost place machen- ein verlassenes verfallenes Resort… spannend…Vorsicht vor herabfallenden Kokosnüssen! Ein toller, erlebnisreicher und komfortabler Aufenthalt! Vinaka vakalevu!
