The Sail Loft - Hayling Island

Really lovely space, wood burner was perfect for an autumn stay, well-equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, comfy bed and on-site parking for a car. The dog liked it too. Nearest shops are about 10min walk and the nearest pub/chip shop is closer to 15mins by the beach.

The stairs are well described in the listing and are steep. We coped fine but be aware if you have mobility issues. And bring a torch if walking back to the property at night!

The stairs too steep to bedroom

Property was nice and comfortable. Location was good. Area was nice not too far from beach and amenities. Nice being able to park outside the property. Outside area was small but nice to sit at end of the day when sun was still out.

Stairs to bedroom were very steep and the sleeping area was a bit claustrophobic. Ended up sleeping on sofa bed the second night.

It had everything needed for a short break

There was a bright light on the wall high up so couldn’t be switched off, that lit up the whole place, so sleep was difficult.. I lost quite a bit of sleep due to this!! I’m aware it hadn’t bothered previous visitors so perhaps it was something I struggled with..

the stairs were very steep and the roof space in the bedroom very low, would have been nice to know this before arriving, shower could be more powerful

Lovely as the photos, great location, log burner.

You can see the steep stairs, but they are more challenging to manage than expected, particularly as you are unable to stand up in the bedroom.
