Ruth's Retreat Shropshire Countryside Lodge with private hot tub & great views

The property was beautifully clean and comfortable on a great location. The hot tub was an absolute bonus. The host Ruth was lovely and welcome.

Ruth and Dean are so lovely and accommodating. The Ruth's Retreat Lodge was so comfortable and had everything we needed. The views are amazing and the hot tub is superb. And the donkey and horse are cute. We can't wait until next time.

Didn't like that we had to go home 😪

Very friendly and helpful hosts. A lovely clean log cabin. Very peaceful. We loved the views of the hills and the resident donkey. We really enjoyed our stay and days out in this area.

Me and my partner stayed only for a couple days but was honestly a lovely little getaway, was a beautiful set up and very homely. Ruth and her husband were so lovely and accommodating me and my partner honestly could not recommend this more. We both can’t wait to come back and stay again.

Nothing was amazing

Everything. It was lovely, pretty and warm. Clean, spacious, well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, sugar and some cereal. Comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and shower and a nice warm bathroom. Comfortable settee and good Wi-Fi connection, Netflix etc available. It has been decorated beautifully and well thought out. The hot tub is huge and absolutely lovely The views were beautiful and it is so peaceful there, the only noise you can hear (aside from some animals very very occasionally) are birds. Ruth is lovely aswell, she showed us around, introduced us to her dogs, horse and donkey! A very friendly and polite lady who told us if we have any issues, just to let them know but we had no issues whatsoever. Will definitely return in the future 😁

Loved scenic views secluded no one bothers you

When I got in the hot tub it was windy but I didn't expect the hot tub to fall down hit me on the back off the head and pushed me under the water causing my head to be sore headaches as well their was no secure strap to hold it in case of bad weather and no warning sign

It was very peaceful and relaxing.

Lovely cabin with great views. In the middle of nowhere so very quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need like a home away from home, and we loved the hot tub. Lovely hosts nice people. Would definitely go back if we end up in the area again. Highly recommended.
