Wonderful experience, so close to the nature :) beautiful surroundings - gibbons and birds singing in the morning! Our guides - Rudy and Dede were awesome, thank you very much :) also on the jungle trek - the best cook Ipan! Made delicious food in the middle of jungle 💖

the only downside of the hotel I see is that there was no water in the shower sometimes but it was whole village’s issue I think

Het personeel is mega vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten is ook super lekker - wij hebben hier elke middag & avond gegeten en alles was top. Ook de jungle tour inclusief overnachting samen met Tjandra & Padjar (geen idee hoe je het schrijft) was fantastisch! Kijk niet raar op als je balkon vol zit met apen.

Alles was super, maar het enige minpuntje is dat de kamers tussentijds niet worden schoongemaakt & dat is geen overbodige luxe met alle apen op je balkon die hun behoefte doen

De ligging van het hotel, prachtig naast de rivier. Mensen zijn erg behulpzaam en als je naar de jungle wilt, alles wordt geregeld

Geen Douchegel, matrassen die inzakte. Voor een paar dagen is het prima. Ook de apen die er rondlopen. Je kunt niet op je balkon zitten.

Amazing location and friendly staff

The beds were a pain, also the rooms could use more fans for comfort. Bathroom was to minimalistic for our feeling: bad lighting and insufficient space to put your stuff.

- wir haben über die Unterkunft eine Tages-jungle-tour gebucht; die guids waren humorvoll, freundlich und wussten viel! Mit ihnen haben wir sogar 5 Orang Utans gesehen. - das Personal war sehr hilfsbereits aber nicht aufdringlich - die lage bzw aussicht ist wunderschön! An lustigen und frechen affen fehlt es nicht :)

- ab und zu funktionierte die Toilettenspülung nicht.

We had an absolutely unforgettable jungle trekking experience in Bukit Lawang, which we arranged through Garden Inn—and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. First of all, our stay at the hotel itself was fantastic. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the rooms were comfortable, and the food was consistently delicious. It was the perfect base for our adventure. The highlight of our trip, however, was the jungle trek and especially the incredible guides, Rudi and Fajar. We were traveling with our children (aged 7 and 9), and the guides went above and beyond to make the experience fun, engaging, and safe for them. They were patient, kind, and full of creativity. They made a little clay monkey with the kids, taught them a fun song, played card games together, and even introduced them to “jungle math,” which our kids are still talking about! These thoughtful touches made the trek so much more than just a walk in the jungle—it became a truly special and memorable experience for our whole family. We felt very well taken care of at all times, and it was clear that the guides genuinely cared about making this a great experience for everyone, especially the children. A huge thank you to the entire team at Garden Inn and the amazing guides. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Bukit Lawang—especially families!
