The staff was great, the room was clean....but

It looks like a hostel that they are just trying to fix. Unfortunately the biggest problem is that the building is made of bamboo so there is not much privacy even in the private room. The shower area has seen better days and frankly, this is the dirtiest fridge I have ever seen in my life. There is great potential in it, but a long way to go. Also, the restaurant didnt work, no social life there.

For me personally the bed was too hard

Nice, chilled space, close the beach but off the main road. The room is spacious and comfortable for a couple of nights.

There were a lot of ants in the bathroom as it's quite exposed. People burn rubbish nearby and you can smell it quite strongly throughout the night which is quite unpleasant.

Koko the guy that runs the place is an awesome guy. The room was really spacious and the fan kept it super nice and cool throughout the night. One of the comfier beds I’ve had during this trip!

The walls of the room have open air sections so id advise a quick spray of mosquito cream before going to bed. Noise also comes through if any other guests are being loud but the place is generally pretty quiet and chill.

Koko, the host, is the best guy on the island! he really helped me a lot 🙏🏻equipment was also sufficiently available

The place was completely abandoned when we arrived. We stayed in the double and twin rooms, the bed was like sleeping on hard rock and the room wasn’t clean at all, the pillow cases had blood stains and we couldn’t close the door from the inside. Besides one of the windows was closed with a spoon as you can see in the pictures. The place is apparently being renovated and is not prepared at all to receive guests. It’s sad that the rooms are being rented in these conditions. When we complaint to the owner he said “what did you expect? You have a bed to sleep in and a toilet” like that’s all he is obliged to offer. Also said that he had staff on the premises 24h and no one was there ever after we checked in! The only good thing was getting a refund for the booking and getting the hell outta there!

Great backpacker's hostel, like in the olden days. I have the impression that this kind of inns are disappearing, not just in Asia but worldwide, so it was good to stay here, even in low season. We were almost the only guests, with some exceptions. For example, the German solo backpacker who came in for one day used the toilets very disrespectfully, it must be the same type of person who later goes to the beach and leaves his cigarette butts in the sand. Other than that, the premises were clean and accessible. Taha, the guys in charge, does a great work keeping the hostel alive. Kasbah's location is ideal, a couple of meters away from great warungs and not far from the beach.

I love everything about its accommodation! There were 8 of us and we booked 3 rooms. Nice rooms with kampung vibes, it could bring us back to those days when we were small slept in a kampung style chalets with mosquito nets. The other room I took was industrial kampung style bedroom. Couldn't have asked for more. I really love it! and this one has attached bathroom. For other rooms. eventhough the toilets are outside, it's just nearby the chalets and it has 3 separate bathrooms and toilets. So, we don't have to wait for the toilet usage. Overall, I will definitely repeat our stay here and plan to stay longer.

We asked for an extra pillow and towel, but we get a stink and so worn out pillow plus the towel is so torn. It is also smelly. Then I don't know where is the reception area when i wanna look for the staff in charge. Because we were greeted at the front area of the place. I only met a person at the renovated restaurant area and he helped me to call for a staff in charge.
