The property is beautiful every direction you look and very well maintained. Miguel was an incredible host and we had a wine tasting and absolutely delicious dinner made by Marlene. Highly recommend staying here and also having dinner.

The staff/owners were wonderful and so friendly and the housekeeping was excellent. The property is ready to find and just outside the town which is nice.

The property definitely looks nicer in the photos on the listing than in real life. For the price of the rooms, we were expecting more. Also the layout of the property is a bit unusual, since the pool area is off of the owners house, it felt awkward spending any time there. We booked the 2 bedroom unit and were disappointed to learn that you are expected to use a very small spiral staircase to access the room which was problematic because we have to carry a baby up and down that staircase, which felt unsafe. Overall things felt overpriced and the value wasn't quite there, especially the set dinner we had.

I could write an essay about our stay in Casal dos Capelinhos, because it was the best stay we ever had. From the start to finish, everything was beyond perfection. The location, the room, the views just incredible! What made this place special were people there, we adore every single one of them. They made us feel like home and we were very sad when we had to go. Me and my family will come back for sure, and for a longer period next time, because this place made us feel relaxed and we enjoyed it so much. Casal dos Capelinhos is very secure, the property is very big and beautiful. There is fruit garden below the main house and we were enjoying oranges and mandarines everyday. One of the most special things about this place is the food. We had breakfast and dinner everyday and it was just so good. I can not express how awesome and delicious all the food was. Marlene, the chef, she is the sweetest and let me tell you, she knows how to cook. While writing this review, we are just checking when can we come back. :)

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Casal dos Capelinhos - Douro! From the location of the beautiful, modern quinta, the friendly, professional, & very charming staff, to the food & wine offered on site, we had such a wonderful & relaxing time during our stay. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying at this place. Having only eight rooms available in a variety of sizes, the rooms are set into small clusters with an emphasis on privacy & a small indoor space & loads of little outdoor spaces to enjoy a glass of wine, lounge by the pool, all while being surrounded by an active vineyard. Visitors can schedule a wine tasting, or wander through the vineyard & experience a true working quinta. I’m almost hesitant to write this review, because I know it means that the secret is out!

Loved everything about it. The maintenance, the food (skip eating dinner anywhere else but here - it’s great!), the comfy beds, the friendly staff. And it is also so beautiful. Can’t wait to return next year.

Perfect in every sense! The staff was beyond nice and helpful. Great location, super clean, nice pool, got an upgrade on our room. Perfect stay!
