Hotel Kloster-Gasthof Speinshart

This hotel is a diamond in this small, beautiful town located 15 minutes outside of Grafenwöhr. The rooms were extremely clean, and the service from the amazing staff was amazing. Everyone there was SO kind and helpful, and any needs/ questions we had were always met! Parking is directly on the hotel grounds which is incredibly convenient. Breakfast is quaint with plenty of healthy and fresh options. The dinner located in the hotel restaurant could easily be one of the best options in the area, and is well priced. This hotel also shares a lot with the International meeting monastery (Speinshart), which you must see before leaving! It’s incredibly beautiful with some of the most intricate details of this era we’ve ever seen in person. If we’re ever back in the area, we will stay here and won’t even look into staying anywhere else!

Nice breakfast, easy check-in

The shower door was way too close to the sink and it was hard to get into the shower without getting water everywhere. There is no kettle for tea or coffee which is standard in a Gasthaus. The beds were on rollers and they could fairly easily roll around.

Breakfast was good, coffee wonderful. Room was adequate.

Towels were a bit threadbare and very rough. Showerhead was too high and shower was difficult.

Loved the location. The hotel and room was nice and clean. And the breakfast offered everything you needed.

The fee of €15 for a small dog a night is a bit steep. The room was very hot, despite having the windows open. The Internet didn’t work. Because of that we had to pay cash for our stay. Which is an inconvenience

The staff was very friendly and the location was quiet. Meal very good. We have stayed at the Kloster serveral times and will do so again if we are in that location.

There were only 3 hangers in the closet. The bath room was very small. No hooks anywhere in the room or bath room to hang clothing etc.

Quiet location, clean, comfortable, staff are very helpful and the restaurant is great. I have now stayed at the place over 10 times in the last few years and never been disappointed with the hotel and the staff
