Kaoko Mopane Lodge & Campsite

A comfortable family room overlooking a picturesque dry river bed, excellent food served in a dining area with great views all around, very friendly and welcoming personnel. A birds' paradise among mostly mopane trees.

the lodge is a ten minute drive or 40 minute walk to town. A very silent and beautiful place. You have constantly warm water in the shower, which is not standard in most lodges. The breakfast was a delight. We both like to thank especially Weitu, she is the most lovely person and so helpful.

Needs a bit of maintenance, especially the pool area.

Beautiful decor of the hotel, dinner area is gorgeous and it’s a peaceful place in an otherwise busy opuwo. The manager was very friendly, explained proudly how he runs the place and made sure we had a delicious vegan meal!

Signage from main road could be clearer plus the road in getting there is a bit bumpy.

Great place to stay just far enough from town Stuff are great and the food was yummy

Not a negative but just a observation was hard to sleep at night due to the heat and the fan was noisy even on low But wouldn’t stop as from coming back Cheers

Way out from the road. Felt enjoyably distant. Quiet. Comfortable. Town only a 10 min drive. Owner very hospitable. Enjoyed pool. Good breakfast.

Beware google map will lead you astray. Get directions from the place. Nice ambiance.
