Bwindi Forest Lodge

it was the best decision to book this lodge! the staff is so friendly! Paul helped me with everything. they cleaned my shoes after the gorilla hike. they arranged a mechanic for the motorcycle. they welcomed me with a tasty mango juice. they had delicious meals and really good beds to sleep. the rooms were big and they even had warm water in the shower. so nice after the long hike. you can even get a hot water bottle for your bed. i was even accompanied by Paul to the UWA gate and he cared about me to get a proper check in for the gorilla hike. when I had a wish they fulfilled it before I could even mention it. I also booked a batwa community tour and the staff arranged it for me. and the most important thing is the view. I’m a hiker and I know good views. but with a view from your room directly on to the jungle there is nothing more you could wish for. if I had more time I would have just been staying at bwindi forest lodge all the time. if you come to buhoma I recommend this lodge to everybody. so that you believe me that this is real and no advertisement I could just mention that there sometimes is a problem with the electricity. so make sure to bring a power bank. but I think you can be thankful for even having a light in your room most of the time. and if there is sometimes no electricity I think that is not too bad.

The staff was the best without a doubt, friendly and devoted to make sure our stay was perfect. Thank you Pol, Emily, Atulipe and everyone in the lodge!!! Food and views from the room were also amazing.

If you want kind and hospitable people, do not look any further! The bed was comfortable and the view amazing. Paul, Nelson and their team made us feel like home. They even put together a delicious meal very late at night for us! It is also 5 minutes from the Gorilla tracking, so location is perfect.

location is perfect and the staff was really helpful. They indicated us how to proceed with the permits and take care of us before and during our stay.

The lodge is really nice but the hot water and wifi were not working most of the time and there were power cut (at least they have solar panel to have the basic light). The staff is really nice and the food was delicious however is overpriced. 12$ for a dinner without meet, it is a totally SCAM (it is not buffet). We paid one night because there was not other options but you can find on the main road super nice, clean and cheap local restaurants. The day we went to see the Gorilla, we arrange the breakfast at 7 and we were waiting to have everything almost half hour. So we end it up rushing to finish and run to the Gorilla trekking.

The staff here were the absolute best! They gave such a warm welcome when we first arrived and we had some really nice conversations during our time here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and each room has their own front patio with a nice view towards the forest. The price in comparison to other accommodation in the area was extremely good and our experience far exceeded our expectations. It is also located a few minutes walk from the national park entrance, so the location is very convenient.

The location is perfect if you've booked the Buhoma gorilla trek, it's a 3 min walk from the lodge to the gate and meeting point.

The electricity would come off and on, they do have a generator so they can turn it on if necessary but it always came back on pretty quickly. I wish there were more hook and cost hangers but we made due.
