Хижа Ловна в Рила

Had an enjoyable stay at Hija Lovna in early September. Wonderful location and attractive rustic setting in a clearing in the mountains, close to the Seven Lakes and incredible mountain treks winding off for miles in all directions. Hut-keeper Boris does an great job keeping things together, providing cheap and decent - if unspectacular - meals and looking after walkers. The red wine was good, also the omelettes.

My room was seriously overpriced for what it was, a glorified shoebox. It was fine for my needs, but not nearly worth the money. There was also some confusion when I arrived about what sort of room I'd actually paid for.
