fantastic location, well worth the second visit

the access road is pretty rough, but otherwise the property is great. I was unhappy that the porter who took our bags to the room then stood there waiting for a tip, not in the Southern African tradition, but perhaps they dont want local guests? There was a mess at checkout as Booking.com had not processed the last minute payment, despite me having a confirmation email, took 45 minutes to sort out which, when driving 6 hours, is not ideal

For us two Swiss Travellers, the perfect 2 nights stay during our 3.5 weeks around Namibia self-driving holiday! The Luxury Fish River Lodge is located into a very safe beautiful AWESOME surroundings and guarded 24/24/7/365. The Restaurant, Service & Kitchen Staff provides a excellent tasty Food Menus and a large south African Wine List. All empowered and maintained by a perfect and professional skilled Team. They all provide a high Service Level and are very friendly staff.

Extraordinary position

The wind that comes up late afternoon is crazy.. and we were given the rooms right in the worst spot of the wind channel. So, make sure you specify not to get rooms 5 or 6.

not all the staff were friendly, could have better facilities in the rooms for what we pay, not enough milk for coffee, fan not effective for heat, no plugs next the the beds, door did not close properly
