Wenn es auch nur wenige Ort gibt, die ein Muss sind, dann bitte diesen! Diese Lodge lebt von der einmaligen Lage, auf der sie gebaut wurde. Bungalows sind grosszügig und gepflegt. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und motiviert.

Für die letzten 19 Kilometer braucht man fast eine Stunde. Es geht auch mit einem normalen SUV.

Fish River Lodge – The Ultimate Namibia Highlight! Hands down the best place we stayed in Namibia—an unbelievable 5-star hotel experience smack in the middle of absolute nowhere, right on the edge of the canyon. Water and electricity are scarce out here, but the team has created a true oasis that’s simply incredible. Special shoutout to the staff: they greet you with cooling towels and welcome cocktails, clean twice a day (including evening turndown), and check in constantly to ensure you’re happy. During our visit in February 2026, I had food poisoning (not from here—just my digestion issues), and they went above and beyond: provided meds, consulted a doctor, and made sure we still had an amazing time. The style, food, cocktails, and decor are all next-level. Only minor note: limited outlets due to power constraints (no AC, just fans), and it got stuffy at night—we had to ventilate to sleep. But these fade against the perfection. We stayed just one night and regretted it—the 20km rocky access road means you want two nights to enjoy the hikes (1.5/3-hour trails), full-day canyon tours with guides, and more.

This property is beautifully located right on the edge of the canyon and we thoroughly enjoyed the hikes from the hotel around the canyon rim.

Few things going on here, For a start, we should have been informed in advance that the pool was out of order, it was just about full (and freezing cold) by the time we left. Our experience with the staff was mixed, some where great fun and the restaurant benefited from the energy they brought, others less so, sadly:( This is the only accommodation in Namibia we have encountered where a mini fridge is not provided in the room, and bath robes too, these things should be standard at the price they are charging.

Extraordinary view. Interesting architecture of the housing.however the architect forgot the wind effects.

No Air condition. In january every late afternoon a very strong breeze came Up calming down in the night between 2 and 3 o clock. The noise amplified by the metal roof was extra.

ALLES. Die Unterkunft ist phänomenal, traumhafte Lage, abenteuerliche Anfahrt, sehr nettes Personal, gute Küche.

Leider hatte es ziemlich viel Wind, was in der Nacht sehr gut hörbar war. Aber wir erhielten Earplugs, damit wir ruhiger schlafen konnten.

De ligging is fenomenaal en de lodge is ook ptachtig. Het enige minpunt is het ontbreken van airco in de lodge

Eine wirklich traumhafte Lage direkt an der Felskante zum Canyon. Wir waren eine Woche dort, was definitiv zu lange war. Die meisten Gäste bleiben nur ein bis zwei Übernachtungen, was definitiv zu wenig ist. Wir haben eine Tagestour mit Floyd 500 m tiefer zum Fish River mit Baden in einer Felsnische und Lunch gemacht. Toll!!! Floyd war super nett, belesen, kompetent und lustig. Sehr zu empfehlen. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der Sternenhimmel ist eine Wucht

Ein paar Kleinigkeiten waren zu bemängeln. Die Sickergrube ist nicht geruchsdicht und stört bei bestimmten Windrichtungen die empfindsam Nase. Das Essen könnte deutlich abwechslungsreicher sein und die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahr gekommen. Nur zwei Steckdosen, häufig kein WLAN und ohne Klimaanlage wäre ein kräftigerer Ventilator wünschenswert.
