"Beautiful lodge but room 8 needs TLC!"

Views are breathtaking!

Cold water day and night despite staff supposedly sorting it out..?! Room 8 where we stayed badly cracked inside and outside- work in progress. Not worth the money spent, rather repair 100% before letting it out! BEWARE: Roads are terrible only accessible by 4x4 due to floods - apparently worst in 3 years! Check the weather before departing!

An exceptional experience. It’s hard to believe that in the middle of nowhere, they have created this amazing lodge. Skies that are mind blowing. Sleeping under the stars is a must!

Nach später abenteuerlicher Anfahrt betraten wir die Fish River Lodge, bekamen ein feuchtes Handtuch zum Erfrischen und standen kurz drauf mit einem Begrüßungsdrink auf der Terrasse und blickten in den unbeschreiblich faszinierenden Canyon - 12 von 10 Punkten für diese Begrüßung! Die Lodge ist außergewöhnlich, Architektur und Einrichtung sehr gut aufeinander abgestimmt, da sitzt jedes Detail, das Personal sehr freundlich, das Essen lecker, auf der Terrasse serviert mit Canyonblick - 12 von 10 Punkten. Es war sehr heiß und in den Bungalows stand die Luft, so wurde uns das Bett auf der Terrasse gerichtet. 2 x Schlafen unter einem imposanten Sternenhimmel - 12 von 10 Punkten. Wir fuhren den Canyon Drive mit Fillemon, der mit uns sehr lustig, freundlich und kompetent die gefühlt 40 Grad im Canyon gemeistert hat. Faszinierende Ausblicke, eine wunderschöne Badebucht und leckeres Barbecue, dazu Zebras, Springböcke und anderes Getier - wieder mindestens 12 von 10 Punkten. Alles in allem, es war einfach toll 😊

Beautiful design in every aspect. Staff were exceptional. Food was super both in presentation and taste. Absolute value for money. I would highly recommend a visit!
