Pochote Lodge

Great ambience, you are right in the middle of nature and it is very calm and relaxing. The view from breakfast was very peaceful. Clean and spacious room, and Francisco is a great host.

The road to get to the lodge was a little hectic but that is no fault of the owner.

It was off the beaten path. It was authentic and far from touristy, rooms were clean, and breakfast was good. Francisco is the nicest man, and Veronica is also very friendly. There are clear signs to location. The road coming in is rough but doable. Rent a truck. Perfect for solo travelers and adult groups. Also, full access to a sharrd kitchen with a refrigerator.

It was a little buggy. There were some small ants in the room that didn't bother me much, but may bother others, and you have to understand you ARE in the jungle.

The owner was very helpful in providing us with info to make the best of our holiday. He suggested that we go to Santa Maria sector where we had an amazing time swimming in a waterfall and soaking in natural hot springs in the national park. He served us a wonderful breakfast the next morning for a small fee of $8. The property was very secluded in the jungle- a great start to our vacation!

The shower had limited hot water and no shampoo.

Clean, comfortable basic rooms, with a beautiful view. Super friendly staff, very accommodating and helpful.

Way up on top of a mountain, beautiful view but far up there! Very basic accommodations.

Nice and clean room with good proximity to NP Rincon de la Vieja. Restaurant nearby. Well equipped if you want to cook dinner

Quite remote with supermarkets at 25min, make sure to bring lunch/ dinner if you want to visit NP Rincon de la Vieja.

Great customer service! Fransisco was very friendly, likeable and helpful. He helped people feel comfortable enough to practice their Spanish. The breakfast was great! The eggs from chickens that he raises and the property was unique and very beautiful. I was traveling alone and felt safe and the price was very good. There is a kitchen to bring your own food or you can eat dinner at RinconIto lodge, less than 10 minutes away.

The drive was a little rough so it took a long time to get there. The fan stopped working at some point, so the room for a little stagnant. Insect repellent is a must have.

Owner was welcoming, friendly, joyful.. Close to rincon de la vieja. It was clean. Access to a kitchen.

Pool is described as ''natural'', but it looks dirty and unapealing Small room. No A/C. 2nd bed wasn't confortable. Shower had very little pressure. Not much to see or do at the hostels even though it looks pretty. No food offered at the hostel. Owner doesn't speak english, but at least uses his app to translate as he speaks.

That place is surrounded by nature, you can see birds and they're the only source of sound around. The cabins are comfortable, have full bathroom and a kitchen available Francesco is super kind and helpful. One review indicates the road to get there is poor. That's not the case (anymore?) As I could get there without trouble with a small Suzuki.
