Elm Escapes

We stayed in The Willow Lodge. It had all the MoD cons required for a self catering stay. The sauna was amazing. We used it every day. Make sure you take £1 coins to use and it stays warm for hours. There was a gorgeous little village in Knighton around 10 minutes drive away that we visited most days to do walks and grab food. We completed Offa's dyke and got some fabulous pictures. Was lovely to come back to such a beautiful setting at night in the Willow Lodge and use the Hot Tub. The dogs had the best time.

We had a fabulous time but just 2 little items could do with sorting out. The kettle requires changing and the coffee machine couldn't be used as it required de-scaling. But that was it. Everything else was perfect.

Absolutely beautiful, relaxing and cosy cottage tucked away with plenty of privacy. Clean and tidy. Lovely views from the back bedroom. Hot tub wad great. Sauna was operated by inserting pound coin. The hosts were very helpful. We would not hesitate to book again.

The downstairs shower room drainage wasn't great but the hosts were helpful in making our stay comfortable and pleasant.

Didn't like anything

Could have been clean??? Filthy cooker and microwave. Urine on toilet seat. Mould in wet room. Sticky substance like putty on bedroom door. Cracks in ceilings and walls. Stains and marks on walls. Pillows with filling all broken. Double sheet on a king size bed. Outside areas untidy and grass not cut. Barbecue dirty with charcoal ash. Cleaner arrived to clean but could not rectify all the problems. It is suppose to be self catering but couldn't use the cooking facilities!!!

Well laid out for what we needed, spacious and well lit. sauna and hot tub was a nice touch!

The bed was a little creaky at night - I understand self catering lodges but hand wash around key areas wouldn’t go a miss! Luckily a near by shop wasn’t too far away for us to grab some of these. bbq was a little over used and rusting so we gave that a miss too it would be nice for there to be a gated space for dogs to roam around without them having the potential to disturb the other lodges :)

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The spot is absolutely idilic, so peaceful, in beautiful surroundings. Everything you could possibly need in the lodge, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Didn’t want to leave, just wanted to chill in the hot tub in total relaxation. Thank you Maria for all your help and recommendations during our stay. Was absolutely perfect x

Dirty hottub over grown garden lumpy mattresses..food up walls and kitchen cupboards in need of repair..oh and take your own cutlery if you are mad enough to book this....complete waste of our hard earned 💰

We stayed in Oak Lodge and it was clean, tidy and contemporary. very peaceful area with no telephone signal, which was perfect for us. We had dogs so having the area enclosed was reassuring. Hot tub was superb

Wi-Fi was quite slow and wasn’t strong enough to self stream, but there was Netflix etc available. it would have been great to have the patio/veranda with fencing all round so the dogs (and children) could be let out, but we made do with building our own. would be nice to have dressing gowns for the hot tub or larger/beach towels.
