Nothing about it.

On my way to the location, I received a phone call from a lady who simply says they made a mistake and they can't host us. Just like that. Not a hint of wanting to find any solution, just ditched us.

The caretaker of the property was very nice

The property was not the one shown in the pictures, some pictures were of the caretakers house that is build just in front of the rented one. All the furniture and kitchen equipement was old, no comfort al all, very basic, view to the next house, bedrooms small, bathroom old and very basic, the property was far in the stix, road access very difficult, really not worth the effort to get there nor the stay.. no breakfast available.

Very friendly host, but unfortunately only speaks Spanish. The place is nice for a budget stay for one night, like we did, when driving from the Pacific to the Caribbean.

A bit neglected place. The last kilometer to the lodge needs a 4x4 vehicle. Far from restaurants. Owner only speaks Spanish and although very friendly, it's hard to explain things to him. e.g. we paid cash and he asked for the Booking's fee as well. Was only 4 dollars, but still, he couldn't understand why we shouldn't be paying for this.

The road to the property is challenging

The best thing about this place are the hosts. they adopted us as part of their family, and we really felt like we were living with them. they are very knowledgeable about the area, and extremely helpful in anticipating all our needs. we are avid birdwatchers, and they brought in their son in law who is an expert bird photographer. at the same time, our room was private if we wanted it, and the birds in this property are very diverse. the kitchen had everything needed. the bathroom had a great shower.

the access road is a bit difficult and a 4x4 is recommended. Though there are good restaurants in the area, I recommend bringing food with you so you don’t have to drive it in the dark.

Needed to pay the commission of booking.com which is not correct. Needed to pay in cash. Little bit scary if you are not used to drive in the mountains on a gravel road
