Lilac Lodge with Hot Tub

Location, quality of the accommodation, comfort, lakeside views, hot tub, peace and quiet, lovely bar and restaurant facilities on the site.

Nothing, it was perfect throughout our stay.

Loved the size and hot tub. Loved the internet actually works well.

Did not like the added hassle of the deposit. If I had known about this would not of booked. I don’t think the deposit was made obviously enough before you booked. The lady on reception said it was made obvious before you booked. Her answer was clearly rehearsed so other people have also complained about it. If a deposit is needed, it should be taken at the beginning, not after you have paid. Could have done with an extra duvet in the bedrooms as it’s quite cold. Also, there is no hairdryer.

We were very much looking forward to staying at the Lilac Lodge, but unfortunately were informed upon arrival that it was double booked. We were offered an "upgrade" by Prestige Lodges which turned out to be anything but. The size of the lodge was nearly half, and instead of two double rooms, we were given a double and two small camp beds propped up in a tiny room. Prestige Lodges were unhelpful when challenging this, with a receptionist more concerned about just coming back from holiday and catching up than expressing any interest in truly helping us. There was no apology, no sincerity and no customer service. Prestige Holidays fail to acknowledge any fault and instead tried to pin blame on booking.com. They had every opportunity to notice the double booking given our two months in advance reservation and make things right, but instead elected to bait and switch us upon arrival. I would strongly recommend caution to anyone looking to book with them as they clearly have no care for their customers and are only interested in filling as many lodges as possible, even if that means moving you to a different property which does not meet your requirements. Shame on you, Prestige Lodges.

We loved everything about it! We wanted somewhere where we can chill, be ourselves and have fun. The whole weekend we felt so relaxed on site and the hot tub overlooking the lake made it even better.

We couldn’t find anything wrong apart from when it’s raining there is no canopy over hot tub so yoh got to dart out when it stops.

The lodge and surroundings were beautiful. The lodge was very clean and comfortable, ww would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return in the future. The hot tub was an added extra and a lovely place to relax and unwind.

On the first night we found the hot tub a bit cool which I suspect was due to it being half open when we arrived but after that it was wonderful. Also we were unable to find the hair dryer.
