Lilac Lodge with Hot Tub

Clean, plenty of storage & space. Didn’t feel crowded. Very modern, good quality furniture and comfortable. Hot tub was lovely (a little hot considering the weather but we weren’t bothered about that & knew we could ask for it to be turned down). Blankets were a nice little touch. Would love to return soon.

The decking got very hot for our dog to walk across but I managed to rinse it down with cold water a few times a day. Can’t really change that problem. A sun umbrella would have helped but it wasn’t major.

Lodge was lovely, clean and comfortable. Everything you could of asked for & wanted we were so please and a lovely little location out of the way and around the lake. Speakers built into the ceiling were great for when we were cooking, relaxing etc.

Very spacious. Quiet location. Not overlooked by other properties. Lake view and ducks. Dark and quiet all night. Hot tub was lovely. Nice and clean. Decor was very nice.

Lacking a few kitchen essentials ( wooden spoons, serving spoons, tin opener didn’t work). Restaurant staff not very helpful. No hot water in bath or shower in main bathroom.

The lodge was beautiful. Very high spec of decor and furnishings. Location by the lake was perfect to watch gorgeous sunsets Friday and Saturday.

Nothing we didn’t like but a couple of points to mention that I’m sure the owners can easily resolve and wouldn’t put us off booking again.. Shower in main bathroom would not regulate temperature and was very hot, we tried twice with no joy. The screws in a few of the carpet threshold’s were raised and we caught our feet on them (bedroom with en suite) and the dressing room. The hot tub wasn’t teanest when we arrived with gritty/muck settled on a couple of the seats and dirt around the sides. We wiped this off as best we could. it didn’t put us off the hot tub as we understand the up keep isn’t easy especially during easter/school holidays. One last thing, we felt a welcome pack with user guides etc would have been really helpful. we couldn’t find a thermostat and it was boiling when we arrived which we felt was an wasted expense for the owner/site. There also looked to be speakers in the ceiling but no idea how to use them. Those last couple of points we wanted to mention so they can be looked at as the lodge was practically perfect and those niggley points could be easily fixed.

Absolutely stunning Lodge was perfect for are weekend break , but i would speak to the cleaners not very acceptable the way the lodge was on our arrival but it wasnt a massive issue we just went round with the vac and cleaned the table outside , no big drama but would 100 % recommend and the hot tub was fantastic , was a lovely weekend break with the missus without the kids lol , beautiful lodge with everything you need.

We lovely the lodge, it had everything we needed and was Beautifully decorated! We would definitely return.

We loved the hot tub! The decor was beautiful, so open and clean! just all round lovely lodge!

It was a little out of the way as we had hoped to do some walking but we had the most chilled and relaxed weekend so we were ok with it.
