The Parlour, for Alton Towers & the Peak District

We had the most wonderful weekend here – truly perfect in every way. The space had everything you could possibly need and more: piping hot water with great pressure (a big plus for me), a fire pit, a BBQ area, wood provided for the burner and hot tub, and even thoughtful touches like cards and dominoes for rainy days. The owners were incredible – so attentive and helpful, keeping in touch from the moment we booked right through to the end of our stay. Their hospitality really made the experience special. If I had to find anything to nitpick, it’s only that the space felt a little snug for two very tall people (we’re nearly 6ft each), and there was no full-length mirror. But honestly, these are such tiny things compared to how perfect everything else was. I almost don’t want to recommend it too highly because I want to make sure there’s space for us to return – but it really was that good. Highly recommended!

The owners were extremely accommodating, providing knowledge of the area and fluffy towels and robes for use of the hot tub. It was a special weekend celebrating my partners birthday and the token bubbly was very much appreciated.

Loved everything about our stay it was perfect.

A beautiful Aesthetic with the most welcoming and Friendliest Hosts. The Pictures do not even begin to come close to how beautiful this Shepherds hut is from the Oak veneer Trimmings to the en suite bathroom. The sheer convenience of 2 Ring Neff Induction Hob or the Multiple Usb Sockets for all your devices Needs.

We had a nice time, although it wasn't very comfortable. The benches were uncomfortable, so padded cussions may have helped, and the bed was rock hard, which is just personal preference. If you want to get up and make a brew and leave your partner in bed, this isn't for you. The seating area is your bed. This is not to say that it wasn't a nice place, and I suppose for a younger couple, it would be perfect, but it wasn't ideal for myself and 6ft 3 partner who are late 40s and 50s. We hired the bathtub for a night, its £50 so quite pricey, it's a short walk from the palour and although all attemps were made to keep it private, warm and cosy, with nice dressing gowns, the rain did not hold the curtains and we felt exposed, as there were other guests in neighbouring house.out smoking. The attention to detail was brilliant, very tasteful and It was very clean, and we had what we needed. It just wasn't for us. I can't fault the host, and the milk and bottle of wine was a really nice touch. My advice is to check the weather before you book the hottub and take your flip-flops. Location great, farm shop near by lovely and some nice villages to visit. We would definitely stay again, but I'd book the house next door and check the weather before paying for the bath.
