comfortable, lovely spacious modern lodge in beautiful setting.

Smelly dishwasher. Could really feel the springs in the beds. 10am Sunday morning checkout time a bit too early for people staying with children.

Lovely surrounds, great hot tub and spacious lodge. Very close to lots of local attractions which were great days out for families.

On the facility listings for the lodge on booking.com it stated there was an iron, hairdryer and sky channels available. When we got to the lodge no iron or hairdryer or sky channels (only had a tv with free view channels with a remote which hardly worked and had no back cover so we could see the batteries had been chewed. When we asked at reception about this they said that the listing did not say this and because ours was classed as a private letting couldn’t do anything about this. very strange how the next day on booking.com the facility listing for the lodge had been changed. Staff did say there were changing rooms available for golfers I could use to dry my hair but if I’ve paid extra money for a luxury lodge o shouldn’t then have to go to a shower cubicle to be able to dry my hair. Beds were also very uncomfortable, especially the main double bed. Could feel every spring in the mattress.

Beautifully presented in very peaceful surroundings. Easy drive to York and on site restaurant was delicious!

There was a few faults with the place. Loose light fitting, stains on the sofa. But overall a lovely clean place.
