Aldejus Homestay

nice bungalows, private bathrooms with hot water, good food, electricity all through the night

although staff is nice communication can be difficult, a bit annoying to have to arrange pickups for diving, expensive

We spend a fantastic week at Aldejus Homestay: most of the time we were the only guests, but even if the both other huts are occupied, it's not crowded. The huts are nicely furnished, with mosquito net and one hammock on the terrace and you have your own bathroom. The food is very good, no problem for vegetarian food or a birthday cake and even cold beer is available. Electricity is switched on for the whole night, so the fan can work also the whole night. It's very quite, there is a small village on the island, but it's some 100 m away. Very nice beach, and snorkeling is fantastic, whether on the very big house reef, or even better at frewen wall, the next island. It's a bit sportive to go there, but it's worth to do it. We saw turtles, bat fishes, small sharks and twice wales ( from the beach). Diving is possible via Tarzan Diving. Communication with Alex via what app very easy. Friwen Island is a little paradise and Aldejus is the perfect homestay to explore it. Having private bathrooms with a shower is a rare luxury in Raja. Great reefs around the island, very close to Friwen wall, and a little village to explore on land. Ask Otto to take you to see the coconut crabs, mind blowing. Saw whales, mantas, dugongs, turtles, reef sharks, mantis shrimp, eels and much more.

The boat trip to the Friwen wall was great, accommodation average for price.

Very noisy, lots of speaker noise for hours from church and many people wandering around all day and half the night (not quietly).

we had the best time at aldejus homestay, we spent three nights there. the bungalows are really nice, spacious, right at the beach and they have an own bathroom. the food was absolutely amazing, the best we had in raja ampat. etha, ferty and otto took great care of us. they took us snorkling, fishing, to the mangroves and we even saw dugongs really close to the homestay. we will come again, thank you very much for an unforgettable time.

Nice staff, yummy cooking

Didn't clean the room each day (would have liked to have at least bathroom cleaned, room swept), communication could be a bit tricky, not the best breakfast, would be nice to have more fruit

Running water in the shower (also hot when electricity is running) is probably something that distinguishes Aldejus from other homestays, but there was definitely much more to it. Food was delicious. it’s very remote, you really feel like you’re staying on a private island. a lot of dive sites to check around. The staff was always helpful. making sure we were felt comfortable and had anything we needed. thank you!!!

Friwen at this time had only this homestay , with just three buangalows , it is a quiet place . For snorkeling the Friwen wall is only a few hundred mts away , 200000rp for a boat .The bathroom has hot water , a real plus. The food for diner and super was good .

The beakfast was just bread and jam , could be easily improved.
