Sophienhof Lodge

The rooms are quite large (2 rooms per bungalow), with good quality beds a large bathroom and separate toilet. Very quiet at night. All staff is very friendly and helpful. We had an early start to go to Etosha National Park, and received an extensive take-away breakfast, too much for one to eat it all. The evening meal is a set menu, usually game, and is very tasteful. From the restaurant and from the swimming pool, one has a good view on the drinking pool to spot kudu's, springbok and other animals. Possibility to book a game drive between 16.30 and 19.00 hr, the lodge has a very large private area for animal viewing. The adjacent town of Outjo is a pleasant place.

No choice for timing of the evening meal, it is served at a set hour (19:30 - 20:00 hrs)

Everything, great accommodation, nice service, we were lucky to get out private game drive which made it really special. Unfortunately, my wife lost her mobile phone in the car, but the staff were able to find it. All in all a perfect stay. We will be back

What an amazing find! Really warm welcome, great food and comfortable, clean accommodation. We took a last minute game drive and we were blown away by the array of animals we were able to see. The guide, Nico was very knowledgeable and truly loved the animals. All the staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one. One night was definitely not enough! We hope to return!

We enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly, we saw a lot of animals on the drive there. The room was freshly renovated and all in all it very nice. Oh, and in addition to all the game they had a very cute cat as well

This location is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. It features a game reserve where lucky visitors may have the opportunity to see white rhinos and a hippo. The rooms are large and have all the necessary amenities.

Breakfast and dinner are served outside, which can be quite chilly in the winter. Although the staff was able to quickly serve us breakfast when we requested it, the early start we had planned did not go as planned.
