Amazing hideaway just outside Taupo. Beautiful cabin, perfectly set up (great for chefs!) comfortable, warm, romantic and peaceful. Set within lovely grounds, and with amazing hosts who had real attention to the detail of our stay. Breakfast supplies are fantastic, and so thoughtful and can highly recommend the platter for dinner! We were a family of coeliacs so Alli made a special effort to cater for us (including a home made loaf of gluten free bread). A really lovely place!

Alli and Glynn you really do have a special place. It is such a lovely calming and peaceful lodge. Hare's Rest is surrounded with nature, lots of bird life and animals which is so wonderful to be around - back to nature. It was good to be away from the hustle and bustle of our very busy lives. It is just what we needed to rest and relax. What a delicious and generous breakfast. Ali, we loved all your homemade goodies - bread, jam, chutney, muesli and cookies. The place is so clean, tidy spacious & very comfy. You are so welcoming and great hosts. Thank you so much, we just had a really wonderful stay, will definitely be back and staying longer.

"A Nature Lover’s paradise"

A lovely place with a homely yet sophisticated vibe. Acres of garden, peaceful and relaxing. Comfortable and beautifully furnished. Home made produce for breakfast in generous proportions. Ten out of ten in all categories. Look no further! We would love to return.

If you look for tranquility and quietness you found the right place. Nicely located in a park-like landscape it is the place to withdraw from it all. The hosts are lovely taking care of everything. Enjoy!

Very cute and comfy cottage, snuggly bed gorgeous view. The breakfast supplies are unbelievable. Peace, views, wildlife, walks. So wonderful to be off grid too. I cant thank Ally, Glyn, Meg and the Henriettas enough for hosting a perfect stay.

I didnt like having to leave!
