The property wasn't where it shows on maps. Room starting to show its age.

Great location, only 100m away from the La Colonia Beach entrance. I was staying in the mini apartment, which is a bungalow separated into four studios. It was clean and super quiet, with view out on the garden. I didn't get to use the kitchenette much but I used the fridge and cutlery, it was nice to be able to keep food in there. Edna, the receptionist, was super helpful and nice. I got to use the pool, in the morning and evening, it was very nice (and almost zero mosquitoes, which I found incredible!). The bed was very comfy and the pillows nice. The garden is beautiful, with lots of trees and ornamental plants. The street is quiet, only cows and other hostels around. The beach is beautiful and so wild, I loved it! I took a diving trip with Costa Rica Dive and Surf, and a surfing lesson with Nomadic Surf Camp, I recommend these as well! Overall it was a great experience, it's a shame that the beach access is not free but if it is the price to pay for a nice preserved nature where you can see macaws, toucans and capuchins while sitting on your beach towel, then I am willing to pay!

A few things were slightly faulty in my mini apartment studio, such as a leaky sink, a blocked shower and a very weak toilet flush, but when I told the staff they said they would look at it. Because the apartment is one of four corners of the same bungalow, if your neighbors are a bit noisy you will definitely hear them, a lot! I guess we get what we pay for... But it was overall a very nice stay for me.
