Villas Maria Luisa

Villas Maria Luisa was easy to find after asking a few friendly locals familiar with the area. We were attended to promptly by the staff at Villas Maria Luisa. Everyone working at the Villas was courteous, friendly and professional. Our room was clean with good A/C. The small kitchen(!) was equipped well enough to enhance the quality of our stay. Our shower did have hot water,, as hot as was necessary (electric showerhead, very common in these countries).The property is fairly expansive which allowed for great privacy! Being that this is the 'low' season the ambience was very quiet and laid back! Pricing is very fair considering location, privacy and amenities. We will definitely return.

Everything at Villas Maria Luisa met our expectations especially considering the modest pricing currently in effect. I would say that Villas Maria Luisa is a great value for the money! This is a great place for singles, couples and families with many choices in accomodations.

Perfect place for enjoy beaches of Uvita! Very close to the entrance to the main beach, where you can walk kilometers on the see cost. Very nice personal, nothing is problem for them!

Peaceful location close to the entrance of Marino Ballena park.

The apartment was not particularly clean when we arrived and is very badly insulated allowing warm air and bugs in constantly. The pool was not well maintained, water was very murky clearly lacking chlorine.

Brilliant location right by the 3rd and more quiet entrance to the national park. This entrance has a lifeguard tower right next to it, so good place to go in the ocean (although there are rip tides so you can’t swim out). Lovely garden with lots of different birds. Really friendly and helpful people that run the place.

This is a budget option, so don’t expect very fine sheets and great luxury; but that also makes it popular with local Costa Rican families which was lovely to see.

I loved everything about it

I was happy to leave. Unfortunately there was a huge roach infestation in my room. I was told the water was heated, it was not. And there was a huge gape under my door, like 2 inches allowing roaches to enter. There were roaches in my bed and many in the kitchen. I couldn't kill them all. I lifted up my mattress and saw 10 more. I don't want to leave a bad review but this was my experience. The location is nice though

Very basic stay. No hot water for shower. You cleaned yourself and had to ask to empty garbage container and fresh towels every few days
