Cerca del parque nacional y del acceso a la playa, así como de supermercados. El personal fue amigable y nos cambió de habitación porque no funcionaba el retrete. También tiene una pequeña piscina donde refrescarse y aire acondicionado dentro de la cabaña.

Quizás sea de esperar por la ubicación pero en la habitación encontramos cucarachas, arañas etc. no se encuentra demasiado aislada del exterior. La luz es muy tenue. A las cabañas les hace falta una buena reforma. Por la noche falta iluminación en el complejo que facilite el acceso a las cabañas.

I really liked the clean and cool air conditioning. The bed was just the right size and thick enough to be very comfortable, with two high-grade pillows that made it even better. I also appreciated the extra mantels; they definitely added to a restful sleep. The staff were wonderful; special thanks to the receptionist who quickly brought me a couple of paracetamols when I wasn’t feeling well. Unfortunately, I was having chills during my stay, so that gesture meant a lot. Having breakfast delivered to our room was another comfort, and it was delicious! The overall ambience was great, too. It’s just a shame I was too tired to enjoy the pool; but I’ll definitely do that next time when I stay longer. Overall rating: ★★★★☆ (4.5/5) – A cozy and accommodating stay. Would definitely come back!

The orange juice served at breakfast was a bit too sweet; we had to dilute it with water. Also, there was no bidet in the toilet, so I had to improvise and use one of the gargle glasses as a dipper for cleaning up. A floor mat by the bathroom would have been helpful too, to keep our feet dry after showering. I was also surprised that there was no complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste, especially since even more budget-friendly hotels usually provide those. That said, these are just minor things. I’d still gladly come back because the staff were wonderful, and the overall ambience, especially the pool and garden, was truly relaxing.

Smart tv in my room was a pleasant suprise!

I love this cabin hotel concept! The villas and cabins are surrounded by lots of beautiful greenery. You'll see monkeys, stunning butterflies... It's very private yet right by the beach (which will take your breath away btw). It felt very unpretentious and I liked the crowd around there a lot. Came for a short trip from Manuel Antonio which is very 'White Lotus' (wealthy tourists, less community focused). Also... Villas Maria Luisa is Costa Rican-owned which is another reason to book, I believe. There are a lot of mosquitos on the premises (!) but my cabin was 100% proof and you're fine as long as you have a good repellent. Just come prepared. I also had solid air conditioning so the value for money was exeptional. I wish I coud have stayed longer and will definitely come back. If you're a nature lover and like more of an authentic, local experience... this is the one.

My room was clairaudient, no fly screens, old uncomfortable bed linen, internet broke down a lot of times

The staff are really friendly and helpful, the owners even invited us in for breakfast when we were leaving!! The Villas are close to the beach and restaurants. A great stay for a few nights.
