The location next to mangroves and one of the best snorkeling places and the friendliness of the host.

The area was poorly kept, with garbage scattered around the mangroves, including a dangerous rusty bucket in the water. It would have been beneficial to clear out the larger debris. During my five-night stay, my overflowing trash can was never emptied, and the floor was not swept. Essential items like toilet paper and a towel were absent from my room, requiring me to request them. I won't criticize the absence of wifi and power from 6 pm to midnight since I was informed beforehand. However, the unavailability of a fan made sleeping uncomfortable, and the mosquito net was too small to use effectively. The owner attributes the poor upkeep to COVID, but in reality, it's due to a lack of proper management processes.

Breakfasts are varied, all very good. The owner who is the cook, worked as a professional chef.

Nothing of note, best snorkeling in the world just of the beach.

I had a really nice one-week stay at Lorenso cottages. The landscape there is amazing, next to the sea and mangrove forest and you can walk straight into the sea for snorkeling, the reef is right there. The location is also perfect: a bit further from the village in the middle of nature😊 And you can find two bars with local people and the best live music on a walking distance 😊 Lorenso is such a lovely person and he made the place feel like home ☺️ Also the food was great: fresh tuna etc. Lorenso is always willing to help and he will organise snorkeling gear, motorbike etc for you.

The place has suffered from Covid so some of the buildings are torn down and he is now making renovation work. Already at the time I was there the progress was huge! The waterpipe was broken so the watertap for filling your bucket is not open all the time. But that wasn't really a problem, when your bucket is empty just ask him to open the tap😊

Great place, very nice owner, good and plenty of food. Had an amazing time! Everything easy and relaxed. Stayed longer than expected and would definitely return. It's rustic but very homey

Unfortunately the weather and the lack of money due to total absence of tourist during covid, had ruined this owner. Booking .com is fooling with the price that should help people who lost all rather than booking .com

Be sure to give a look at this resort when looking foe where to stay in Bunaken Lorenso is really a great person, and also a skilled musician 😁. He also knows a lot of people on the island and will give you precious tips Moreover his resort is well located if you want a place where to relax and enjoy your stay. His beach is protexted by mangrove trees and is a good spot for snorkeling also.

A beautiful jungle experience amount the mangroves , with a very friendly host. Lorenzo has been unfortunately affected badly by storm and the lack of clients during COVID. You will enjoy his kindness and cooking and he needs you to rebuild his business. Contact him directly rather than booking .com which is misleading and charging much more than helping him directly. ( Book 1 day and discuss with him in direct once there).
