"Hidden gem worth a visit"

We loved our stay at the Ghost Lodge. The location was amazing, and the lodge was cozy. We used the hot tub which was right on the beach with amazing views at sunset.

When you need a room on a beautiful lodge / house. The attention to detail was incredible. So if you just want a lovely night away right on the ocean, relaxing in the wood fired spa or feet up after the Old Ghost Road or Heaphy Track. Please dont pass bye this beautiful peaceful home. Simon and Guy are amazing landlords and their local knowledge invaluable. Thank you both for the best weekend...

"An excellent stop for a couple of nights."

Great beachfront location. Perfect place to watch the sunset. The house is very cool. Lots of different bedding configurations for friends & families sharing. Bring your own food to cook dinner as there are no restaurants nearby. The breakfast provided was excellent too. Love it.

Can’t think of anything I didn’t like. This place is cool.

It was the perfect place to relax in the sitting room on a wet day, it was warm and toasty with the fire going. Great location beside the beach - it'll be nice to stay again, preferably when it is not raining!

Location was great. Right by the sea and near interesting places to visit. Breakfast was adequate, with a choice of cereals and toast. Lovely to have a welcoming cosy fire.

"Magical location, beautiful old building and wonderful host"

Great host! The lodge is very clean and the decor interesting. We heard the waves crashing all night. Simon built us a fire overlooking the ocean as the sun was setting. Magical!

The coffee grinder could've worked better. We couldn't figure it out so we're never able to make coffee
