Percy Wood Lodges with Hot Tubs

I had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning. The lodge was clean and well equipped and I enjoyed the location. The host was very responsive to messages and accommodating.

We had an excellent stay with some hiccups. 1. Hot tub lost a lot of the water due to a leak at the back of it. 2. We ran out of gas half way through our stay.

We loved the size of the accommodation and where it was situated on the end of a row. We loved the hot tub which was ready, and easy to use. We liked that things like loo roll, washing up equipment and towels were provided. There is also a smart TV so we were able to watch films on Netflix. There is also a Tassimo coffee machine provided however we didn't use that. We visited Northumberland Zoo which is only a short drive from the lodge. We did have an issue with the gas oven. The hob and grill worked fine but the oven did not. We reported the issue to the owner but we didn't get any response until the next day. Luckily we had brought two days worth of food with us so after a delay and a re-think we had our evening meal. We resolved the issue with the oven on day two by purchasing a gas lighter. A suggestion might be to ensure there is always a lighter available and to add instructions to use this to light the oven to the communication message you get before arrival. Generally there were a few maintenance issues that could be looked at. Nothing that impacted us (other than the oven) we were only there for 2 nights. Little things like missing door handles, a couple of bulbs that needed replacing and a curtain pole that needed attaching to the wall again. One other recommendation would be to reprint the accommodation instructions in a traditional font such as Arial to make them easier to read. All 4 of us mis-read the password for the WiFi on day one. A different font might help with this. Overall it was a good place to stay, nice and clean, well equipped and overall the communication was good. I'd stay there again.

The lodge was lovely clean and cozy , facilities were all spot on . Alex the owner was fantastic at checking in with us to make sure everything was ok wouldn’t hesitate to return.

The Lodge was lovely and clean. Nice and peaceful. Was all enclosed so we could enjoy the Hot Tub without our cockapoo trying to escape. Very central to everything we visited Alnwick, Bamburgh and Seahouses. Good correspondence with Alex. We will be back in the summer 😊
