"Very comfortable beachside Bach set in beautiful gardens with great hosts."

Bob and Dianne were great hosts, accommodating and great to talk to. The Bach is beautifully finished and very comfortable. Access to the beach is directly out front and the seal colony is an easy walk away.

Might have been nice to have a TV/Flat screen - Internet service is fairly poor.

Charming seaside cottage was lovely. Our hosts were extremely accommodating and kind. The location of this property is everything....its a perfect sanctuary in a spectacular geographic landscape. Breathtaking 24-7 We love mostly everything about this property...we found it was the first time in months that we could disconnect and soak up the stunning nature and experience true peace. If you're looking for constant connectivity and an abundant nightlife, this is not the place for you. If you're looking for a peaceful way to enjoy your day and explore the beautiful surroundings, this is your spot. In reflecting on our entire trip to New Zealand and exploring the entire South Island, we both keep saying our stay at Cape Foulwind was our absolute highlight. Our hosts Dianna, Bob, and Bolt could not have been more accommodating and friendly. What a beautiful experience - we are forever grateful.

"lovely place with everything needed for a relaxing off grid vacation"

Lovely, quality accommodation with lovely hosts

would have preferred a tv in accommodation (our fault for not checking). unfortunately on the first morning the neighbours were doing lots of home renovations so it was very noisy but that is no fault of the hosts

"A quiet retreat, close to the Tasman Sea, set in beautiful gardens"

This self-contained cottage was close to the beach, amidst beautiful gardens and close to hiking and sightseeing. The seal colony was about an hour walk along the Cape Foulwind walkway (on the headlands with beautiful views) or a short drive. The deck made a lovely spot for an afternoon drink or morning coffee. Bob and Dianna were a lovely couple who offered helpful information about the area. And we were able to do laundry too! Would stay longer next time!

There was nothing that could have been better (well, maybe a wider driveway!)
