Krakeelpoort Herberg

The location is absolutely beautiful. We loved being in nature and the views are stunning.

We thought there would be better towels and at least two per person. There were only two thin towels for the weekend and one dish cloth. We did not know there would not be a freezer so our ice-cream melted. We also expected to have 2 ply toilet paper for the price we paid. It would also be helpful to receive all the information the day before. It was sent to us whilst we were on our way so we were only made aware that there would not be plugs when we had already left.

Only issue was the constantly dripping toilet, otherwise great

Beautiful scenery

We booked Rooi Assie paid R8200.00 for 2 nights. We expected more luxury for the price the property did dissapoint. We paid an extra fee of R500.00 for pre heating of the pool which was to cold to get in on arrival at 17h00. We had to use our own wood to get the pool heated and still it took hours. There is no door at the toilet which is right next to the bed which was uncomfortable. The utensils and amenities is not worth the price. I would highly recommend Kol Kol just down the road of Krakeelpoort if you want a high end stsy for much cheaper.
