There was another gentleman there who was down right rude - didn't catch his name - I had to clean the hot tub myself - was slimy - it rained by the back and front door - no mats to wipe feet or mud. I was bitten by bed bugs. you cant have two people shower at the same time as there isn't enough water pressure to run two gas geysers - that information would have been helpful. the bikes that were hired didn't work properly.

Wunderschöne, abgelegene Lage in den Cederbergen. Anfahrt über eine 35 km lange Schotterstraße. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, alles wurde gut erklärt. WLAN nur im Haupthaus, nicht in der Unterkunft. Großes, rustikal eingerichtetes Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern und 3 Bädern. Sehr sauber und alles top in Schuss gehalten, hochwertige Elektrogeräte von Bosch bzw. SMEG, dicke, flauschige Hand- und Badetücher. Perfekt für Selbstversorger ausgestattet, jedoch ist nach Anmeldung auch Verpflegung im Haupthaus möglich. Sehr großzügig portioniertes Grillpaket, verschiedene Aktivitäten möglich. Wunderbarer Hottub, Holz dazu kann man am Haupthaus kaufen. Nur für Leute, die absolute Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit suchen.

We stayed in Klipbokkop, a lovely three-bedroom house high above the valley. It is a magnificent location with a view over the river. The house is well equipped for self-catering and the braai facilities are good. The house has two en-suite bedrooms on the ground floor and a loft room upstairs with a shower room on the ground floor. The highlight is the wood-fired hot-tub overlooking the river. The property provides easy access to the highlights of the Cederberg including the Stadsaal Cave, Wolfberg arch and Wolfberg cracks. Some excellent walking.

Having WiFi in the house would have been an added bonus.

Umgebung, Service, Natur, Outdoor Activities

In unsere Hütte war die Klimaanlage zu laut, da diese alle 5 Minuten Schlürfgeräusche machte. Aber dies nimmt man in Kauf wenn alles andere stimmt. Und es stimmt.

Mount Cedar is in the perfect location for exploring Cederberg or just enjoying time in nature. There are some short local hikes you can do, or else you can drive a little further for some longer hikes. The Hideaway Tents are a great option to feel like you are truly in the wilderness. Also having the option to eat at the restaurant in the evenings is great for those who do not wish to self cater.

The only very minor thing I would comment on is the timing of the breakfast. It starts at 8am, which is a little late for those wishing to get out early for hiking. Perhaps a self serve option would be good for those people.

Lovely location, confortable and clean rooms. Relaxing and quiet

The location was exactly what I was looking for. Remote and sublimly situated on top the Cederberg Mountains. The cottage that we stayed in was well equipped and secluded from the other cottages. We didn't have enough time to try out the restaurant's food as we came prepared with our own food and drinks.

I would have liked for our cottage to be cleaned a few times over the 3 night stay. I probably should have asked it they would offer this service.
