Denali Fireside Cabin & Suites

Private cabin 3 miles out of town. Very clean, nice bathroom. Don the owner was super friendly.

Upstairs bedroom was spacious but newer mattress would be enhance the stay.

Don is an amazing host. He is friendly, personable, has a good sense of humor, and is deeply knowledgeable about Talkeetna and the surrounding area. He recommended excellent locations to visit, fun and educational excursions, and great places to eat. His communications prior to and during our stay were clear, timely, and helpful. My college age daughter and I had an amazing stay in his "Little Cabin in the Woods". The cabin is located in a quiet and rural neighborhood on a small pond about 2 miles from the center of town. I highly recommend the cabin for 1 – 4 people who want a clean, comfortable, quiet, and secluded Alaskan lodging experience while enjoying Talkeetna, Susitna River Valley, and Denali.

We stayed in one of the larger units with two queen beds. The staff is great—friendly, helpful, responsive. The unit was cozy and clean. These cabins are on the edge of the cute town of Talkeetna. Far enough away to be free of the crowds of cruise ship and other tourists that descend upon town from 10-5, but close enough to walk into town for shopping, meals and the view of Denali.

The cabins are close to the railroad. We were awakened a couple of times on our first night by the train whistle. However, this wasn't an issue over the weekend. And, to be fair, I think anyone location in the town of Talkeetna would hear the train. It's not a big town.

Wunderschöne Blockhütten Unterkunft bei Talkeetna, so, wie man es sich für einen Urlaub in Alaska wünscht und erhofft. Ob es draußen warm oder kalt ist, man kann die Temperatur in der Hütte gut regulieren, wobei uns insbesondere der Ofen, der auf Knopfdruck ansprang, gut gefallen hat. Auch ansonsten fehlte es an nichts, die Broschüre, die wir vorfanden, lieferte wertvolle Informationen für uns für Möglichkeiten zu Unternehmungen in der näheren Umgebung. Für ein tolles Frühstück gibt es ein uriges amerikanisches Restaurant gleich nebenan, und auch die übrigen empfehlenswerten Restaurants sind in Laufnähe (max. 12 Minuten)

For two guests, only one shampoo and one soap were provided, which was not sufficient.
